Eco Friendly

I love Simply Floors. They are family owned and operated. Dawn-Marie has always taken care of me and the rest of the family has been fun to work with as well. We have done our whole upstairs in carpet that was eco friendly. It was great to work with someone who understood the value of taking care of our environment. We are now moving on to an eco-friendly hardwood project . Our old house is now looking very updated and beautiful.

Pad prices due to increase...

We've received word that pad prices are going to be rising industy wide again as the price of oil has started going back up. This means that carpeting projects will not cost a little more than before. Now would be the time to buy in order to avoid paying these increased amounts.

Blending New Wood with Existing Wood

We often have customers who have existing wood in their homes and aren't sure how to add more wood without it looking bad. One of the suggestions we make is to pick a contrasting color for the new area and add a coordinating border to tie it all together. We installed new carpet in our basement that is being finished. We also replaced the builder's grade carpet in our family room.

On our first visit Dawn Marie gave us her full attention and took about 2 hours helping us figure our which carpet we liked the best and how we could get the best bang for our buck. We returned several times to look again, once to order and once for final payment. (Jim Sr. and Jim also helped us and they were both fantastic.) We never felt pressure and they gave us their honest opinion when asked (if they had answered differently they would have sold a more expensive product). It took two days to install the carpet in both areas. The workmen that installed the carpet were courteous, answered our questions and did a great job. They arrived on time and finished when they said they'd be done. We shopped around and one big thing we noticed is they didn't nickel and dime us, the price quoted included everything. Other retailer's base price was lower, but after you added on all of the small fees their price could not come close to competing- in one instance it was the same exact carpet. It was installed about a month ago and I am still as happy with our purchase as the day it was installed. We hope to replace the carpet in the rest of our home next year and we will be returning to Simply Floors.

Our Favorite Hardwood!

Throughout the last 3 years we have done numerous projects using the exotic hardwood Kempas. It has easily become one of our favorite floors. It has the natural variation typical of an exotic floor, with rich cherry-brown hues. It is very similar to Brazilian Cherry, but without the extreme red boards, favoring instead the medium tones found in the Brazilian Cherry.

We recently sold a large amount of Kempas to a couple building a second home on a lake in Tennessee. The following photos were taken right after installation.

This is a letter I received this week in the mail from a hardwood flooring customer:

Now Offering SHOP AT HOME!

Today we announced that we will be offering a Shop At Home alternative to our customers. It is a common saying around here that our customers have "more money than time," and in an effort to better serve their needs, we are now bringing the shopping experience to them.
